Nihal Akdere
While flipping over the pages, if you suddenly had an urge to read this page in particular, this is about Nihal Akdere. Nihal arrived to our school 2nd Semester of Lise 2 from Australia. However this late arrival did not cause her to pause and fill her with anxiety about the school load. On the contrary, she was able to overcome any obstacle that life in Turkey had to offer. Even though at times she felt herself to fall.
If it was said that Nihal was a person full of charm and personality, it wouldn't be an exaggeration. At first glance you may think Nihal to be a very sensitive and quiet girl. However, you will find yourself deceived by your instincts, when you realize that she is overwhelmingly exhillerating, talkative and fun to be with. This way she highlights the class with her presence. Obtaining these properties, she wins the hearts of many, manipulates their thoughts and opens their ideas to a person so rare to find.
Nihal enjoys listening to music both English and Turkish, drinking tea and reading books that moods her. She loves doing sport of all activities. Especially football and volleyboll. Nihal also has a talent for art. Not only is she very creative with her imagination, but she also has a very ingenious sense to draw eyes practically everywhere; On boards, tables, books etc. Her love for the city life and associating with people is her biggest joy. For this reason she wouldn't appereciate living in quiet, isolated places. She is what you call a "city kid". She is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in trouble. As a Result of this, during exam times she has a miraculous ability to boost ones moral. However Nihal is only human so she also falls into the ditch full of worry and fear when it comes to thinking about the university exams. She always says how one day we will look back at these days in the near future and laugh.
Friends are like jewels. So precious but so hard to keep. Each has its own speciality and its own individuality. We are so lucky to have such a friend like Nihal present in the class. She is just a part of the class which we appreciate so greatly.
